Due to rapid growth and demand, Yalgo Engineering, LLC is currently looking for a CAD Technician to join our turnkey Development – Engineering – Construction organization.

The qualified candidate will function as CAD Technician providing support to a team of engineers on a variety of plans related to single family residential development. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in land development drafting, including water, wastewater, streets and drainage. Qualified candidates will have a thorough understanding of the to provide solid decision-making and regarding infrastructure, planning and design.

The position also requires the candidate to have excellent interpersonal skills, to apply effective time management while working independently, to have strong written and verbal communication skills, to provide analytical thinking, and to be highly organized.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in land development drafting, including water, wastewater, streets and drainage
• Must have 2 years experience using AutoDesk Civil3D
• Good written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work within a highly collaborative design team environment

Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for drafting of residential projects including plan/plat production and working with pipe networks for design of storm sewer, water, and wastewater systems
• Serve as a resource to the engineering team
• Provide guidance in the design of construction projects
• Quality check drawings and plans
• Adjust drawings and make changes based on government comments
• Innovate and refine CAD templates and layering standards to meet evolving project needs
• Meet project schedule deadlines
• Work closely with government project managers, and project engineers to assist with development of project packages
• Develop and review engineering service packages, plans, and specifications for construction projects
• Assist in the maintenance of the CAD and Drawing database
• Other duties as assigned
